1 |  ALONG FAMILIAR LINES £3.50 Along Familiar Lines by Mark Neale A book which tells the human story of railways in the Bradford area which contains a foreward by the T & A's own Mike Priestley. Mark Neale was born (1953), lived in and was educated in Shipley. He was a pioneer volunteer on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway prior to and following re-opening in 1968. He later became a librarian for Bradford Railway Circle and edited it's magazine 'The Circular' for several years. In recent years he became involved in the Great Northern Trail, a scheme to utilise the former GN line from Queensbury to Cullingworth. He is a volunteer at the National Railway Museum at York and in 2006 was part of a team which took V2 'Green Arrow' into London (Kings Cross) on a run from York. In 2008, forty years after the end of steam on BR, he is honoured to be assisting West Coast Railways with the running of the 'Scarborough Spa Express' and acted as a cab steward at the NRM event '1968 and all that'.
